Privacy Policy
Effective July 16, 2026
Martyria is a personal timeline of God’s faithfulness. The short version of this policy: your entries are yours. Your timeline is private to your account, is never shared with or shown to other users, and is never sold. We collect only what the app needs to work, and nothing else.
What we collect
Account information. When you create an account we store your name, email address, and the date you signed up. If you sign in with Google or Apple, those providers share your name and email address with us; we never see or store a password for those accounts. If you sign up with email and password, the password is handled entirely by our authentication provider (Google Firebase) and is never visible to us.
Your entries. The journal entries, prayers, and praise reports you write, including their titles, notes, dates, and types. This is the heart of the app and the only content we store.
App settings. Preferences such as your chosen Scripture translation are stored on your device only and never leave it.
That is the whole list. We do not collect your location, contacts, photos, usage analytics, or advertising identifiers.
How your data is stored and protected
Your account and entries are stored with Google Firebase (Authentication and Cloud Firestore), which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Access rules ensure your entries can only be read or written by your own signed-in account. Firebase processes this data on our behalf under Google’s privacy terms.
We do not read your entries. Your timeline is never visible to other users, and we would only access an individual account’s data to resolve a problem you ask us for help with, or if the law requires it.
What we never do
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with third parties for marketing. We do not show ads. We do not use analytics or tracking services. There is no social feed, and nothing you write is ever shown to another person.
Deleting your data
You can delete your account and everything in it at any time from inside the app: Profile → Manage account → Delete account & data. Deletion is immediate and permanent; we keep no copies. If you can no longer access the app, email support@martyria.app and we will delete your account for you.
We send account emails only when you request them, such as a password reset. If you email support, we keep the correspondence so we can help you. We do not send marketing email.
Children
Martyria is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. The promise at the top will not change: your entries stay private, and they are never sold.
